Jim joined Saphineia from TreeHouse Foods, where he was Chief Procurement Officer, leading a team of 37 responsible for $2.7 billion in spending across 26 manufacturing plants and 900 suppliers. Delivered $60 million in savings (exceeding target by $10mn) and transforming procurement into a strategic value driver. He partnered with supply chain, manufacturing, and IT teams to elevate supplier performance, mitigate risk, and implement digital Procure-to-Pay processes while building talent through a procurement academy.
Before that, Jim was Chief Supply Chain Officer at Motif FoodWorks, where he oversaw full supply chain operations, drove ERP integration, and reduced cost of goods by over 85%, generating significant annual savings.
Earlier, he held Chief Procurement Officer roles at Vanguard and Conagra Brands. Prior to Conagra, Jim built and led the Integration Management Officer for J.M. Smucker’s $5.8bn acquisition of Big Heart Pet. He began his career at Printpack and Procter & Gamble, where he built foundational expertise in manufacturing procurement, supply chain strategy, and value chain optimization.
