Prior to founding Saphineia, Craig was the President of Golding Farms Foods, a private-equity backed, multi-site dressings and sauces manufacturer.
Before Golding, Craig was VP of Corporate Development at Hearthside Food Solutions, a $4bn + contract manufacturer, which he joined via its acquisition of Greencore USA. At Greencore, a $1.3bn, 13 site contract manufacturer, Craig was a member of the Senior Leadership Team and was responsible for Strategy and Corporate Development.
Prior to entering the non-branded manufacturing industry, Craig was co-owner and Portfolio Manager of Sheffield Asset Management, a $1.3bn long/short equity fund.
Before Sheffield, Craig was a Partner at Ospraie Management, a multi-billion-dollar basic industry and commodity investing firm.
Craig’s food industry expertise dates back to his days as the Sr. Packaged Foods Analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., a sell-side research firm.
Craig began his career as a corporate attorney in NYC and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
